“Paul arrived on time, as scheduled and did a first class job of removing multiple layers of old caulking before properly insulating and resealing a two-storey seam joining an aluminum sided addition to an original brick wall.”

— Donna and Bill · Toronto · Sep 2026 · via HomeStars

“Not only did he do a superb job but he communicated well before and during the job … he noticed one or two other possible problems and fixed them at no extra cost. Paul is efficient, very competent and honest.”

— Graham · York, Ontario · Sep 2026 · via HomeStars

“He stripped down 4 layers of old caulking … It looks dramatically better, like night and day. Paul was respectful, phoned to discuss the job, and he cleaned up very thoroughly.”

— Cathy · Guelph · Aug 2026 · via HomeStars

“They took their time to carefully remove 3 layers of old caulking and did a masterful job with the colour matching and application of the new caulking. Their goal is to make the caulking disappear and they certainly achieved that!”

— Julia · Stoney Creek · Dec 2025 · via HomeStars

“We noted that he was very diligent in removing the entirety of the old caulking and replacing it with new caulking properly and did not rush the job … I waited to write this review to see how the caulking held up in a downpour. It is working perfectly.”

— HomeStars user · Toronto · Sep 2025 · via HomeStars

“Paul takes great care in doing things the right way. Entire house exterior caulking done plus painting of front and side door and the care into the work was amazing.”

— John · Georgetown · Aug 2025 · via HomeStars

“He took his time troubleshooting the draft issue with my patio door to ensure the problem is properly addressed. He also explained what he did after he completed his job.”

— Bibi · Mississauga · Sep 2026 · via HomeStars

“He also took the initiative to inspect the entire perimeter of the house and made recommendations without any pressure. The price for the job was very reasonable.”

— Rohini · Brampton · Apr 2025 · via HomeStars

“Paul provided a skilled, meticulous service of caulking our driveway’s expansion joints (1 day) and then recaulking the exterior frames of the windows and doors in our house (3 days). Neat and tidy and polite.”

— Eric & Philippa · Nov 2024 · via HomeStars

Proof of work

Look at the joints, not the adjectives.

Caulking is one of the few trades where the quality of the work is visible from three metres away. A straight, evenly tooled bead with clean terminations is not a matter of opinion. Every photo and video below is one of our jobs, shot on site on a phone — nothing staged, nothing stock. Tap any photo to see it full size.

Why the old bead comes out first

The half of the job nobody photographs: every trace of the old caulking cut out before anything new goes in — and what a bead looks like a few years after someone skipped that step.

What happens when old caulking is not cleaned off properly — the new bead lets go and leaves lumps behind

Removal, mid-job — the top bead cut out completely; the bottom bead is still the old caulking

On the job

Short walk-alongs of joints before and after, straight off the phone.

Door frame to siding — walk-along of the finished bead
Patio door threshold — sealing the frame-to-slab joint
Tile-to-hardwood transition — sealed and tooled
Brick window, before — the failed black bead around the frame, head to sill
The same brick window, after — the new bead tooled head to sill
Frame to stucco — the open jamb joint before sealing
Under a window sill on stucco — the open joint before sealing

What to look for in anyone’s before-and-after photos, including ours: is the old material actually gone, or is there a fat new bead sitting on top of a lumpy old one? Is the bead a consistent width along its length? Does it terminate cleanly at corners and sills, or does it feather out into a smear? Is the substrate beside the joint clean, or is there sealant dragged across the brick and glass?

Questions worth asking any quote

  • Is the old sealant being removed in full, or sealed over?
  • What exact product goes in the joint, and can I see the data sheet?
  • Is backer rod being set where the joints are deep?
  • Is the warranty written, and what does it exclude?
  • Will the bead be colour-matched to my frames?
  • Will you look after my plants and clean up at the end of the day?
